I LOVE MY JOB!
How many people can say those four words and truly feel them? Having previously issued marriage licences, my profession is now a licensed wedding officiant, the person with the privilege of standing with a couple pledging their love for one another, their hopes, and their dreams for a life together.
I love when couples share the memory of where they met, how they fell in love, and how their joy would fill the earth, and last, till the end of time.
As a licensed wedding officiant, I hear Bryan Adam’s words within the couple as they pledge their love. “Look into my eyes. You will see. What you mean to me. Search your heart. Search your soul. And when you find me there. You’ll search no more.”
Whether you choose an intimate ceremony or a celebration attended by large numbers of family and friends, I witness the past, the present and a window into the future. I love my job.
